Return-to-work seminar on parental leave

We hold seminars focusing on addressing concerns related to work-life balance and career development when returning from childcare leave. These seminars provide opportunities for employees to learn valuable tips from senior employees on how to effectively balance work and family life.
In recent years, there has been a growing awareness among employees regarding the importance of taking childcare leave. This increase in awareness is reflected in the rising number of participants, including employees in managerial positions and male employees who have taken childcare leave, in addition to female employees who have taken maternity leave.

Support System for Balancing Work and Childcare “Method Book”

To foster a corporate culture that encourages male employees to actively engage in childcare and housework, we are actively promoting the utilization of male childcare leave across all Group companies. We highly value the unique values of each family and provide eligible individuals with a book containing practical tips on establishing an environment where both fathers and mothers can effectively balance their work and family responsibilities.

Seibu Group's corporate-led nursery day-care “Emi Kids”

The Seibu Group established this center in 2018 to facilitate a seamless return to work for employees who have taken childcare leave and to support working parents in successfully balancing their career and childcare responsibilities.
In response to the growing number of employees required to work on Sundays and holidays, our nursery operates 365 days a year. Moreover, we have implemented measures to alleviate the burden on employees and enhance convenience. This includes offering a service where employees can arrive at the nursery without any supplies as we take care of tasks such as washing their children's clothes and providing diaper changes. Additionally, we have introduced an IT system for seamless communication with nursery staff, creating an environment that allows employees to effortlessly manage their work and childcare responsibilities.

Re-employment System (known as Comeback System)

We have introduced a comeback system under which employees with at least three years of service who have left the company for childcare or nursing care reasons and wish to rejoin the company within 10 years will be rehired, taking into consideration the duties and type of work they were doing at the time of their resignations.
The purpose of this system is to expand employment options and provide a place where employees can utilize their experience, knowledge, and skills to play an active role again with peace of mind, as well as to secure human resources with the immediate ability to carry out business operations. Employees may also join a group company based on the company's situation and their own wishes.
