Sushi Miyafuji

This popular sushi restaurant in Hakone is famous for the original horse mackerel rice bowl made by the leading chef whose sushi-making career spans 60 years. Fatty horse mackerel caught in waters off the Sagami Bay is seasoned with a special sauce and topped on rice. It is a dish that can be savored only here in Hakone.

• Miyafuji Gozen (recommended set): Contains the recommended sushi such as horse mackerel rice bowl, original tuna roll, and tuna & pickled daikon radish roll.

Ninja Cafe Fuma

Koka and Iga are not the only birthplaces of Ninja clans; Hakone is the birthplace of the Fuma ninja clan. The owner, a ninja fan, opened this playful ninja cafe near the Hakone Tozan Cable Car. All of the cafe’s light meals and sweets have a ninja theme. Customers can also have a try at throwing shuriken (ninja stars).
