Kagura Ski Resort, consisting of the three areas of Kagura, Mitsumata, and Tashiro, is an extensive skiing area offering a wide variety of ski runs. It boasts one of the world’s longest gondola lifts, the so-called “Dragondola” linking Tashiro with the Naeba ski area, as well as a large number of other lifts and high-quality snow. Another attraction is the long powder snow season, stretching from late November to late May thanks to the high altitude. Stand-out features of the Kagura area are the view from an altitude of 1,845 meters and dynamic skiing on steep slopes of powder snow. The view over Lake Tashiro adds to the charm of the Tashiro area, with its gentle slopes amid beautiful landscapes. Mitsumata is an area whose rich variety of attractions, including a ropeway with capacity for 121 riders, offers something for everyone who wants to have fun in the snow.
