Hakone-en is a multi-purpose leisure facility on the shore of Lake Ashi. In addition to Hakone-en Aquarium, Japan’s largest aquarium with a seawater tank, its attractions include the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway to the peak of Mt. Komagatake, offering a variety of magnificent views depending on the time of day and year; the amphibious Ninja bus, which combines the thrill of plunging into Lake Ashi with leisurely cruising; and a “petting zoo” where visitors can get close to the animals. This single facility thus offers a varied range of filming locations.
